Well-maintained trails. Some of the docks are looking rundown. Helpful staff. Peaceful environment.

really nice secluded peaceful lake and camping. Some of the biggest large mouth around.. but they're catch n release only.. everything else u can keep your limit.

It's a small park built in the 1980s, but it is well done. Even though the camp sites are very near each other many have a good deal of privacy. The trails are fun and the lake offers much interest for canoeing. Friendly staff is always helpful. We have been utilizing this park for 15 years.

Purtis Creek is the worst fishing lake on the planet earth. Supposedly it was made for the sole purpose of fishing. Whoever was responsible for that happen sucks. I've been fishing there probably 7 times and have caught maybe 3 tiny fish. It's really just a big pool of diarrhea... Any other lake in the whole of East Texas is better than this oversized toilet. Please, if you value your time don't waste it at Purtis Creek. Jesus literally cries everytime someone is fooled into going to Purtis Creek.

Park was well kept and campsite was nice except FLEAS AND TICKS ARE HORRIBLE! I had ticks on me and the dogs. I’m now Spending the day washing and dusting dogs. Flea and tick drops Work great but the parasites live for about 48 hours. Just enough time to contaminate campers and homes.
